Environment

Novell Client for Windows Vista
Novell Client 2 for Windows Vista/2008
Novell Client 2 SP1 for Windows Vista
Novell Client 2 SP1 for Windows Server 2008
Novell Client 2 SP1 for Windows 7
Novell Client 2 SP1 for Windows Server 2008 R2
Microsoft Windows 2008
Microsoft Windows 7
Microsoft Windows Vista

Situation

In the configuration for DHCP NDS, the Novell Client 4.91 for Windows XP/2003 has a checkbox to specify that the contents of DHCP option 85 is binary data.

This checkbox is missing in the Novell Client 2 for Windows 7/Vista/2008.

Resolution

In the Novell Client for Windows 7/Vista/2008, the only DHCP data format supported is the RFC format.  i.e. A
binary array of one or more IPv4 address values. Therefore, the "binary data" checkbox is not needed.

This is what checking/ticking the "Binary data" checkbox enabled on the Novell Client 4.91 for Windows XP/2003. Without that checkbox selected, the Novell Client 4.91 defaulted to existing the option 85 data in a draft pre-RFC string-based format.)
