Novell eDirectory 8.8 for Linux 64bit
Dhost Console ( Also referred to as iConsole )
Situation
What Changed:
Updated from eDirectory 8.8.2_32bit to eDirectory 8.8.5_64bit. In this particular situation the eDirectory configuration was in a custom location. The var directory was located at /var/opt/novell/eDirectory/data/data instead of /var/opt/novell/eDirectory/data. Could not duplicate the issue, but in this case there was an easy fix.
Cause:
/var/opt/novell/eDirectory/data/nds-http/inconsole is a symlink to iconsole -> /opt/novell/eDirectory/lib64/nds-modules/nds-http/iconsole At least it should be on a 64 bit eDirectory box. In this case it was pointing to the old 32bit location of iconsole -> /opt/novell/eDirectory/lib/nds-modules/nds-http/iconsole
Resolution
Remove existing symlink and create a new one to point to the correct 64bit location:
ln -s /opt/novell/eDirectory/lib64/nds-modules/nds-http/iconsole/ /var/opt/novell/eDirectory/data/nds-http/iconsole
