Situation
When logging in to Novell Remote Manager (NRM) using the admin user not all options are available, when using the root user all options are available.
The only option available for the admin user within NRM is View File System.
The following error can be found in the /var/log/messages at the moment the admin user attempts to login into NRM:
httpstkd[12765]: ldap_simple_bind_s: Can't contact LDAP server

Resolution
Make sure that the certificate for the preferred LDAP server is still valid.
Additional Information
The preferred LDAP server is configured in /etc/nam.conf.
Use iManager to verify if the server certificate is still valid:
iManager | Novell Certificate Access | Server Certificates | select the preferred LDAP server and use Validate
To repair the default certificates, if used and required:
iManager | Novell Certificate Authority | Repair Default Certificates | Select the preferred LDAP server | Select the appropriate repair option | Verify if the required certificates are recreated, then click done.
