Novell Client 4.91 for Windows XP/2003

Situation

The Novell Client for Windows XP/2003 is slated to end the General Support phase of its lifecycle on October 14, 2010. Since Microsoft has extended support for XP until April 8, 2014, and we know that many customers need additional time for deployment of Windows 7 , we expect customers will want to stay supported longer on the Novell Client for XP.

Resolution

To address this, we've made a couple of adjustments to the Novell Client product lifecycle.

  • Novell Client support lifecycle (Extended Support phase) has been extended to April 8, 2014, to coincide with the lifecycle for Windows XP.

  • Customers with current maintenance on Novell Open Enterprise Server (whether they use NetWare or SUSE Linux Enterprise) will receive the Extended Support benefit for free, for the Novell Client for Windows XP/2003 until April 8th, 2014.
