SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 Service Pack 3

Situation

Logging in and out to OES server using the Novell client for Linux degrades workstation performance over time.
 
The following errors are shown in /var/log/messages
 
Apr 20 12:52:43 l98utas38 kernel: VFS: Busy inodes after unmount of novfs.

Resolution

Cause: 
The Novell Client for Linux had a kernel memory leak that causes the Novell Client for Linux to consume all the memory on the workstation.
 
Resolution:
Update the Linux kernel through the update channel to version 2.6.32.19 or newer.
