Situation
A mirrored cluster pool is not accessible to users.
The command nss /pools no longer displays the affected pool, neither is it visible from within NSSMU | Pools
Please note that the problem described in this document is only specific when using NSS mirroring in a cluster environment, there are other possible scenarios which may cause the same symptoms however these are not being reviewed in this document.

Resolution
A dial-in by Novell Technical Support will be required in
attempting to resolve this problem.
There are certain scenarios where crucial partition information is being overwritten during the mirror process.
Due to this the server will no longer be able to recognize the NSS pools.
A fix for this issue has been released into the SLES patch channel as part of an EVMS update on 02 September 2010.
Please be aware that this new code will only prevent the issue from happening again, this will not correct the problem when already present.

Additional Information
It is recommended that the cluster servers can not access the shared storage as long as the server is not patched with the EVMS code released on 2 September.
