ConsoleOne error -8819 Server Connection Lost

Environment

Novell ConsoleOne 1.3.6
Novell eDirectory 8.8 for All Platforms
Novell Open Enterprise Server 2 (OES 2) Linux Support Pack 1

Situation

Suddenly a customer, with 50000 users some hundreds servers mostly OES2SP1 Linux and some NW65SP8, started to get error -8819 in ConsoleOne when searching for users like this:
Start ConsoleOne, authenticate, select an Organization, click edit, find. Check search subcontainers, enter your searchterm like *test* and object type for example user. Then click find.
After a while of silence, ConsoleOne returns error -8819.
The change related to the appearence of this problem, was that the customer decreased the eDirectory cache on all NetWare server (- that hold majority of the eDirectory replicas) from 1.4Gb to 600Mb.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, cache was increased to 900Mb.
