Environment

Novell GroupWise 8 Support Pack 2

Situation

Webaccess Application installation does not allow one to change the path to the webserver's root directory, if the webserver selected is Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) for Windows.  If c:\inetpub\wwwroot does not exist, the installation will not complete.

Resolution

Even though the default path to the webserver's root directory may be d:\inetpub\wwwroot, Webaccess does not write to the directory.  For a temporary workaround, create a c:\inetpub\wwwroot directory, let the installation complete, then remove the temporary c:\inetpub\wwwroot directory, as it is empty.
