Pkidiag fails with error 1222

Environment

Novell eDirectory 8.8 for NetWare 6.5

Situation

Pkidiag process fails ands ends with error 1222.

Resolution

  1. Using iManager or ConsoleOne
  2. Browse to the Security Container.
  3. Check the CA of the TREE by verifying the certificates are valid or not.
  4. Delete the CA.
  5. Create a New Object of type NDSPKI: Certificate Authority
  6. Provide the Server Name that will hold the CA and the Object name (Keep the rest selection default)
  7. Finish the Wizard
  8. Run PKIDIAG on all the NetWare servers and "ndsconfig upgrade" on all the Linux/OES servers in order to rekey the new the certificates.
