Situation

Renamed folder under MSHOLD directory gets deleted once MTA is restarted

Resolution

Reported to Engineering.
 
Workaround:
Rename MSHOLD directory itself instead of renaming subdirectories under MSHOLD.

Additional Information

Steps to Duplicate :
  1. Shut down the Post Office.
  2. Sent few mail from internet or from other office to this Post Office users.
  3. Go to MTA Console -> Configuration -> Select the Post Office(which is shut down) -> Click on details and make note of the directory belong to the Post Office.
  4. Shut down the MTA.
  5. Rename the folder associated with Post Office.
  6. Start the MTA.
Once you restart the MTA you will find that Post Office directory which was rename got deleted.
