HTML attachment does not open in the default browser in GroupWise 8.0.2

Environment

Novell GroupWise 8 Support Pack 2
Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Microsoft Windows 2003 Server

Situation

Error "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options Control panel" while opening a .htm/html attachment in GroupWise 8 Support Pack 2 (8.0.2) client.
HTML attachment does not open in the default browser in GroupWise 8.0.2

Resolution

  1. Login to GroupWise Client.
  2. Click on Tools | Options | Environments | General tab | HTML browser
  3. Under HTML Browser, Select the appropriate Browser from the given list and click on OK.

    OR

    Add "HTML Browser" DWORD Value with value data1 to the Windows registry to the following location:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER | Software | Novell | GroupWise | Client | Setup
