iFolder Client Hangs

Situation

Installation of iFolder Client
iFolder client hangs on first startup
Simias.exe service consumes memory
iFolderApp.exe service consumes memory
Microsoft Windows XP hangs or goes into High Utilisation

Resolution

There are two resolutions to this issue:

1. Open the  FlaimWrapper.dll.manifest file located in C:\Program Files\iFolder\lib\simias\web\bin folder and note the version shown e.g.  version='9.0.21022.8'.  Edit the following files to reflect the same version:

C:\Program Files\iFolder\lib\simias\web\bin\Microsoft.VC90.CRT\Microsoft.VC90.CRT.manifest
C:\Program Files\iFolder\lib\simias\web\bin\Microsoft.VC90.MFC\Microsoft.VC90.MFC.manifest
C:\Program Files\iFolder\lib\simias\web\bin\Microsoft.VC90.MFCLOC\Microsoft.VC90.MFCLOC.manifest

Restart the iFolder client.

2. Upgrade - This issue has been resolved in later versions of iFolder.
