Environment

Novell Client for Vista 1.0.0

Situation

After the workstation has gone to sleep then when attempting to unlock users will receive the error "The network password cannot be validated at this time because the connection to the Novell network was lost. Please enter the password for the windows account to unlock the computer now, or wait and try the network password  again
later"

To duplicate this issue:
----
1. Install Novell client without NMAS.(unselect NMAS checkbox during installation).
2. Login to a Windows 7 machine as a workstation administrator user 'admin'
3. Map a volume from the Red N.
4. Browse a mapped volume from windows explorer. Keep the browsed directory open and perform a windows sleep.
i.e. Start up > sleep.
5. Unlock the computer by entering the network password of the eDirectory which shows an error.
6. Click OK to the error message will bring the "Unlock Computer admin" screen with proper logo for the administrator user 'admin' of the workstation.
7. Enter workstation user 'admin' password to login, which logins to the workstation successfully.

observation/Actual:
-------------------
1. During unlock in step 5, the unlock window "Unlock Computer admin' shows Novell Client logo. Here it is confusing wether we need to enter the network password or the workstation password.

2. By Entering the network password, the following error is seen
"The network password cannot be validated at this time because the connection to the Novell network was lost. Please enter the password for the windows account to unlock the computer now, or wait and try the network password  again
later"

3. After login from step 6. The earlier browsed directory is lost. However the network connection is still seen within Novell connections.

Expected:
---------
1. After resuming from sleep, network login should happen and error should not be thrown.
2. After resume sleep earlier browsed mapped volume should not be lost.

Resolution

Fixed in Client for Open Enterprise Server 2 SP4 (IR8).
