Situation

The Novell Client for Windows 2 SP1 may not correctly display the available disk space for NSS volumes where Volume Space Restrictions are in effect. It shows entire volume size instead of available quota size.

The incorrect information can be seen in Windows Explorer, below the drive icons. There, you see a "Space used" bar, which shows how full the drive is - but it gives the wrong information when Volume quotas are used.

For example, with a volume of 500 GB, and a volume quota set for 10 GB (and none used), Windows Explorer shows that there is 10 GB space availalbe on a 500 GB drive - such that it appears to be almost full, although it is basically empty. It incorrectly shows the entire size of the volume, not the quota size as it should.

Resolution

Fixed in Novell Client 2 SP3 for Windows (IR1) and later.
