Situation
Symptoms:
- Memory from within the 4k slabs and from within the 8k slabs appears to be consuming memory without releasing it
- Third-party monitoring tools report available memory to the kernel (cache + free) is consumed to the point where the kernel does not have enough available memory, causing a kernel panic.

Additional Information
A potential leak was found in the communication channel used by NSS
between user-space and kernel space. Random sizes of allocated
memory can get leaked in certain code paths (size varies based on
the response from user space).
