Cannot re-install ZCM 10.3.1 Agent Features on Windows XP

Trying to re-install Agent Features such as Image Management or Bundle Management that previously had the "Installed " setting unchecked (e.g., in Configuration >Device Management >ZENworks Agent ) fails

This problem is fixed by one of the post-SP2 patches provided by Microsoft. Novell has not identified the exact patch, but any machine that is current with patches up to June 2010 should not experience the symptoms.

 

Workaround:

Delete the registry key HKEY_Local_Machine/Software/Novell/ZCM/volatile
