Situation

Quickfinder indexing on Caching mailbox makes the Client unusable when it is going on

Resolution

This issue has been resolved in GroupWise 8.0.2

Additional Information

In GroupWise 8 change was made that quickfinder indexing run every send/retrieve.

However there are times that it makes the client unusable. Quickfinder Indexing will keep on running and will not perform send/retrieve

For example,If index folder is deleted from Caching mailbox directory & login as user to Caching mailbox using  Groupwise Client, it will start doing Quickfinder indexing and for few hours make my client unusable.

It will keep on running Quickfinder Indexing for ever and will not stop.
