Chinese/Japanese/Kanji characters are not found in search

Novell Teaming 2.1

Situation

Certain Chinese/Japanese/Kanji characters added to the description or abstract field in a Teaming discussion entry are not properly indexed by the search server. As a result, when a user tries to search on them, no results are found. These characters are indexed and work fine if added to the entry's title field.

Resolution

A fix is available to correct this behavior in Teaming version 2.1. If you are facing this issue, please contact Novell Support with reference to this Technical Information Document.

Please note that this fix is not required for any future versions of Teaming (post version 2.1).
