Environment

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 2 - 10.2 Imaging

Situation

Using ZENworks Imaging with SLES 11 kernel in the ZENworks imaging environment (September 2009 Imaging Update onwards).

Settings.txt is created using zmgcreator.exe
 
Imaging does not work - no IP address, for example

Resolution

This is fixed in version 10.3 - see KB 7005455 "ZENworks Configuration Management SP3 (10.3) - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support

Additional Information

The format of the settings.txt file required by the SLES 11 kernel is different to previous versions. The format of the settings.txt file created by zmgcreator.exe was incorrect, i.e., it had not been changed to match the new requirements.
