Situation
Printing an HTML message from GroupWise prints in a tiny font.
Resolution
GroupWise uses Microsoft's Internet Explorer for HTML printing.
Internet Explorer 7 introduced shrink-to-fit printing technology, which shrinks the font down to enable a document to fit on a page.
IE7 has shrink-to-fit enabled by default and it has to be disabled thru the registry.
Novell doesn't support editing the Windows registry, so this is to be used with Caution. Please make a backup of the registry before proceeding.
Run as administrator from a command prompt:
reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MAIN\FeatureControl\FEATURE_STF_Scale_Min" /v grpwise.exe /t REG_DWORD /d 100 /fAnother resolution is to update to Internet Explorer 8 and disable shrink-to-fit. From IE8 File | Page Setup | take the check out of Enable Shrink-to-fit
Additional Information
Workarounds:
- Save html file to text format on disk and then print the saved file.
- Use WebAccess to print.
