Situation

Custom algorithm using alarms will cause high memory utilization, high processor utilization and poor performance.

Resolution

Never use alarms in custom algorithm and instead, create a property using MODL properties on the "latest" alarm. Please look at the Chapter 10 Using the HierarchyFile, <property> section in "Adapter and Integration Guide" and search for LAST function for MODL properties.
