Novell GroupWise 8
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2

Situation

GroupWise snap-ins on Windows 2008 R2 does not work
Unable to connect to GroupWise Domain Database on Windows 2008 R2
Tools | GroupWise System Operations | Select Domain does not bring up anything

Resolution

Workaround Steps:
Install GroupWise Client

Additional Information

Steps to Duplicate:
  1. Install Windows Server 2008 R2.
  2. Install Novell ConsoleOne.
  3. Install GroupWise Administration from GroupWise Software Distribution Directory.
  4. Login to Novell Client.
  5. Launch ConsoleOne.
  6. Click Tools | GroupWise System Operations | Select Domain. Nothing comes up.
  7. Exit ConsoleOne.
  8. Install GroupWise Client.
  9. Launch ConsoleOne and click Tools | GroupWise System Operations | Select Domain and it prompts for the path to Domain Database.
