The iPrint migration fails with the following error shown in /var/opt/novell/migration/[ProjName]/log/iprint.log:
ncpshell --ip=10.10.0.22 --u=admin.[o] --invoke --parm1=SYS:/NDPS/PSMInfo.nlm --d
Error(1000): SERVER: load nlm SYS:/NDPS/PSMInfo.nlm failed rc=35198.
Type these commands a the source NetWare server console:
SET Reject NCP Packets with bad components = OFF
SET Reject NCP Packets with bad lengths = OFF
Re-run the iPrint migration.
iPrint Migration problem:
The symptom and solution listed in this document was reported by a Novell customer and has not been validated by Novell.
According to the customer report, a NetWare server set to "Reject NCP Packets with bad components " and "Reject NCP Packets with bad lengths " to ON will cause the above error. Alternatively, setting them to OFF will eliminate the error.
Transfer ID problem:
An additional scenario which has been reported to be linked to these SET statements is a failed Transfer ID migration. Set the above two parameters to OFF if the following errors are shown on the NetWare server console and miggui log on the Linux server:
REJECTED AN NCP WITH A BAD SUBFUNCTION LENGTH <131 1>
Linux miggui log:
Could not load secure NCP NLM error -35918
