Novell Open Enterprise Server 2 (OES 2) Linux Support Pack 2
Situation
After patching the server the novell-afptcpd would start up fine but would report as "unused" as soon as a MAC workstation authenticated to the server.
The updated version of AFP that had the problem was:
novell-afptcpd-1.1.0-0.13.1 Sun Apr 18 12:44:13 2010

Resolution
Reported to engineering.
There is a field test file currently being verified.
If it proves to be successful the fix should be in the update channel very soon.

Additional Information
A LAN trace of the issue showed that a MAC workstation sends the following request:
FPCreateFile request: Vol=3 Did=2 Name=.DS_Store
After that AFP on the server becomes none responsive and shows as "unused"
