Environment

Novell SecureLogin
NSL6.1
NSL7.1
.net applications
dotnet apps enabled for SeucreLogin

Situation

Sometimes single sign works for a dotnet application, sometimes it does not.

Resolution

Upgrade to NSL7.1sp1

One of the primary features of NSL7sp1 is improved support for .net applications.  NSL7sp1 includes the new sldotnetsso.exe (or sldotnetsso64.exe), which is visible in task manager.  This executable watches for .net applications and alerts SecureLogin when a .net application is detected.

Additional Information

Note that Microsoft .Net framework 3 or higher is required.  SecureLogin reads the registry to see what versions of dotnet are installed:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP

Sub  keys specify the versions installed.  If 3.x is not found, Sldotnetsso will not load.
