Situation

This article discusses information regarding error "Target volume size does not match source volume size for Block Based Transfer "during server sync.

When performing a server sync using BBT with VSS, the above mentioned error message occurs.

Resolution

For server sync with BBT/VSS-BBT transfer method, target volume size should match the source volume size.
