NDS Group converted into Distribution list is not working when visibility set to none.

Situation

When NDS Group converted as distribution list and visibility set to none email get bounce back giving error message D101 user not found.
 

Resolution

Reported to Engineering.

Steps to Duplicate
 
  1. Open the Consoleone highlight the Container create one Nd's group as 'ndsdl' and add members to group which are belong  to different post office under different domain.
  2. Open the properties ndsdl go to Groupwise tab and add the post office to which you want to assign group which you want to work as distribution list.
  3. From Consoleone go to Groupwise view and select the newly crated Distribution list 'ndsdl'.
  4. Open the properties of Distribution list 'ndsdl', go to Groupwise Tab and set visibility to none.
  5. Open Groupwise Client, login to as a user who belong to the other post office and send mail to ndsdl. It gives D101 error.
  6. Close the Groupwise Client.
  7. Open Groupwise Client login to as a user who belong to the same post office to which ndsdl belong and send mail to ndsdl. There is no error.
  8. Close the Groupwise Client.
  9. Open the Consoleone Open the properties of Distribution list 'ndsdl', go to Groupwise Tab and set visibility to system.
  10. Open Groupwise Client, login to as a user who belong to the other post office and send mail to ndsdl. There is no error received while sending mail.
