Device registration error: "Exception: Failed to connect to an IPC Port"

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 1 - 10.1


Attempting a manual registration using zac reg returns the following message:

"Exception: Failed to connect to an IPC Port: The system cannot find the file
specified. UnableToCommunicateRemotingError"

The ZCM agent was installed when the network card was disabled.


Enable network card, then reboot system.
