Situation

GroupWise Client performance issues while opening internal mails
Slow name lookups in GroupWise Client while typing in the To Field
GroupWise Client opens internal mails slowly

Resolution

Follow the steps listed below to disable GroupWise Messenger Presence if GroupWise Messenger is not being used
  1. Launch ConsoleOne.
  2. Connect to the Domain Object.
  3. Right Click on the Domain Object or the Post Office Object and click GroupWise Utilities | Client Options | Environment.
  4. Uncheck "Show Messenger Presence".
  5. Click OK and Close.

    If needed the "Show Messenger Presence" option can be unchecked on a single user to see if it helps.
