Groupwise Archive Agent not archiving messeges

Environment

Novell GroupWise Messenger 2 Support Pack 4

Configuration:

Installed Groupwise Messenger Agent & Archive Agent  on Linux.
Using a customised messenger policy which was configured to archive messages and was locked for changes.

Situation

The messages of the user were not getting archived in the Messenger Client.

Resolution

Resolution:

  1. Under nds view / Expand the container holding the Messenger Service Objects.
  2. Expand the policy container / Go to the properties of the customised policy defined / Unlock the option "Archive message sessions".
  3. Go to the properties of the Default Policy and enable "Archive message sessions".
  4. Restart the messenger and the archive agent.
