Email sent to an user gets delivered to the sender and admin instead of the receiver

Email sent to a particular user by an internal GroupWise user gets delivered to himself and the admin user.
The email do not get delivered to the actual user.


Resolution :

  1. Check in the GroupWise client of the sender for any forwarding rules .
  2. Check in eDirectory whether there is any group by the same name as the receiver user and check for the membership list of that group.
Note : In one case it was found that there existed one group with the same name as the user, and the sender and the admin user were in the group membership and the mail was getting delivered to the group instead of the user.
