How to install iManager on a Linux server that is running a non-root install of eDirectory 885 64bit

Novell iManager 2.7

Situation

Cannot login to an iManager Linux box that was installed on a non-root install of eDirectory 8.8.5 64bit.

Resolution

The following steps will allow a successfull login to iManager:

1) Untar the tarball of eDirectory 64 bit 88SP5

2) Follow the 64 bit steps of installing eDir as non root user

3) installed nici 64 bit only

4) Configure eDirectory by following the steps of non-root install of eDir

5) Installed nici 32 bit provided by iManager i.e. nici-2.7.3-0.01

6) Then installe iManager

7) Login to iManager

Result: Successfully able to login.
