Novell NetWare 6.5
Situation
On Novell NetWare 6.5 NWGetInetAddr returns 0x89ff when the connection information is not authenticated.
Resolution
This is working as designed.
Additional Information
Prior versions of NetWare returned sucess (0) if the connection was logged in but not authenticated. The address information buffer contained 0 values.
Note:
There is no change to the return values for "Authenticated" Connections: IP address, nor for "Not Logged In" connections: 0x89FD.
