How to reinstall iManager 2.7 on NetWare 6.5

Due to circumstances, it may be determined that iManager 2.7 needs to be reinstalled. 
This document details a procedure for reinstalling iManager 2.7 (and optionally tomcat5) on NetWare.

1. At the server console, go over to the Console GUI.
   If the GUI is not running, type STARTX at the console prompt.
2. Click on the Novell logo/button (in the lower left corner).
3. Select Install
4. Highlight Novell iManager 2.7.2
5. Click the Remove button.
   You will be prompted for credentials of someone with admin rights to the server context.  iManager will not be uninstalled.
6. (OPTIONAL) If it is determined that tomcat5 also needs to be reinstalled, please follow these steps:
1. Click on the Novell logo/button.
2. Highlight Tomcat 5 Servlet Container
   
3. Click the Remove button.
   NOTE: if you have other Tomcat 5 based applications installed on the server, they too should be uninstalled and re-installed.  Please refer to the applications' documentation for the proper way to accomplish these tasks.
   
7. (OPTIONAL) While not required, a reboot
   

After the removal is complete, follow these steps.

1. Insure you have a copy of the Novell NetWare 6.5 SP8 overlay CDs (2) or DVD (1).
2. Mount the media on your server.
   You can use either nss /mountimagevolume if the .ISO file(s) are stored on the server you are performing the re-install upon, or mount the media in the optical drive.
3. From the Console GUI, click on the Novell logo again.
4. Select Install
5. Click the Add button.
1. If using CDs, insure the PRODUCTS CD is mounted and enter NW65PROD: in the "Path to install from" field.
2. If using the DVD, insure it is mounted and enter NW65OS: in the "Path to install from" field.
6. Enter POSTINST.NI in the "Response file or install script to use" dialog box.
7. Click OK.
8. In the Components screen, perform the following:
1. Clear the check boxes next to Console 1.3.6h and eGuide.
2. Check the box next to Novell iManager 2.7.2.
3. If you uninstalled tomcat5 (optional step 6 under uninstall), check the box next to Tomcat 5 Servlet Container.
9. Click Next
   
10. Decide if you want to install the iManager plug-ins that are included on your install media and select "yes" or "no". 
    If you select "no", the plug-ins will be copied to the SYS: volume and will be available  if installation is required in the future.
    
11. Click Copy Files to finish up the installation.
