Novell iPrint for Linux Open Enterprise Server Support Pack 1

Situation

"Authentication to server failed. Server certificate could not be generated. Refer to migration.log for more details" error occurs when attempting to authenticate to the target server.

ndsstat command shows error "Failed to obtain a Novell eDirectory Server connection to <Server IP Address> or Novell eDirectory Server is not running.

Resolution

Make sure that eDirectory is running on the target server by doing the following:

1. At a terminal on the target server type "ndsstat -h localhost" or "rcndsd status".
2. If the above commands fail, troubleshoot why eDirectory fails to start.
