Support Statement regarding iPrint's iprntman.exe

Novell iPrint for Linux

Situation

iprntman.exe is a Windows executable which includes some of the abilities of the iPrint Linux command line utility; iprntman.  This Windows tool can be used to manage an iPrint system running on Linux.  It does not manage iPrint running on a NetWare server.

iprntman.exe installation instructions:

  1. Install iPrntMan to a Windows workstation.  The installation file is found at:
    • /var/opt/novell/iprint/htdocs/clients/tools/iprntman-setup.exe
      • Note: There are two spellings; iPrintman and iPrntman. Take note when each spelling is used in these instructions.
  2. Add iPrntman to the Windows Environment Path
    • Right-Click My Computer -> properties -> Advanced tab -> Environment Variables button
    • Under System variables, double-click Path
    • Add the following text to the end of the Variable value text box:
      • ;C:\Program Files\Novell\iPrint\iprintman
    • Click OK, OK, OK

iprntman.exe Support Statement:
The iPrint Windows DOS command tool, iprntman.exe, is supported as-is.  This means the tool is not tested or maintained by Novell.  Bugs found in the tool will not be addressed.  In contrast, the iPrint Linux command line tool, iprntman, is fully supported.
