No SMP support for SLES with LIC 2.0 on Hyper-V

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V
Linux Integration Components 2.0

Situation

SLES guests on Hyper-V are more than one CPU assigned but after starting the system only one CPU shows up even if a kernel with SMP support is used.

Resolution
