Environment
Novell Access Manager 3.2 Access Gateway Appliance
Novell Access Manager 3.2 Access Gateway Service on Linux
Novell Access Manager 3.2 Access Gateway Service on Linux
Situation
When installing the Access Gateway Appliance or service on Linux, I am not prompted to define the size of the object cache. When I perform the same install on the Windows based service, I am prompted to enter a disk size.
Resolution
With the Linux versions of the Apache based proxy, the setting up of the caching file system is done post install. Here's what you need to set
the cache size in Linux based MAG.
/etc/opt/novell/apache2/conf/httpd.conf includes /etc/opt/novell/ag/ag_hook.conf and ag_hook.conf in turn includes /etc/opt/novell/ag/mod_disk_cache_monitor.conf
The cache size is configured using the parameter
"DiskCacheMonitorCacheStoreSize" inside the configuration file
/etc/opt/novell/ag/mod_disk_cache_monitor.conf
/etc/opt/novell/apache2/conf/httpd.conf includes /etc/opt/novell/ag/ag_hook.conf and ag_hook.conf in turn includes /etc/opt/novell/ag/mod_disk_cache_monitor.conf
The DiskCacheMonitorCacheStoreSize is set by default set to 1024 and it is
read as 1024MB or 1GB
