Situation

Outbound internet E-Mails to certain domains get rejected
ERROR: "Send Failure: 501 Syntactically invalid Hello argument(s)" in GWIA log

Resolution

  1. Edit gwia.cfg.
  2. Correct the switch "hn " by replacing "_" with actual DNS A Record for the mail server.
  3. Restart GWIA.
