Unable to perform Open File backup in for GroupWise on Linux OES using Veritas ( Symantec ) software

Some files are do not get backed up during backup operation. The databases that are not getting backed up are either message or user databases. The error logs on the Veritas log show Access denied. Example below:

V-79-57344-33928 - Access is denied.


The problem has been reported to Engineering. TSA Engineering is working on the Fix. GroupWise 7.0.4 will have more information in the TSAFSGW log to debug the issue.

Additional Information

The fix in tsafsgw is to fix the logging issue. When using backup exec, the backup portion of the
logging is not written to the log file, only the scan portion is reported.However, if the backup is performed by other software, the log file shows correctly. Additional logging information is added to help future debugging if needed.

The complete fix will require GroupWise and the change in SMS. The Engineering team is working on a fix in the TSA code.
