Environment
Novell eDirectory 8.8 for Linux
Situation
When running eDirectory 8.8.3 or 8.8.4, changing any configuration
parameter in iMonitor, the Login Update Enable field was also
disabled. This causes the Network Address, along with other
login time attributes such as Login Time, Last Login Time, Intruder
Address, etc, to not be populated. Any applications
that depend on the Network Address attribute value being present do
not work properly.
In addition to the bug in iMonitor, having the Login Update Enable field disabled by the upgrade from 8.8.4 to 8.8.5 was reported by one customer running eDirectory in a Cluster environment.

Resolution
There was a bug in iMonitor that was fixed in eDirectory 8.8.3
FTF3, 8.8.4 FTF1, and 8.8.5 to resolve the bug in iMonitor.
However, once it has happened, you must manually re-enable the
Login Update Enable field to get the Network Address and the other
attributes to be populated at login time again. This is done
by the following:
1. Login to iMonitor as an administrative user
2. Select Agent Configuration, then click on Login Settings
3. Check the Login Update Enabled box, and make sure a value is present in the Login Delay. Default value is 5 seconds.
4. Click on Submit for the change to take effect.
