Situation

NetWare 6.5 iManager can only manage the local FTP and NFS Servers.
In iManager's File Protocols section, the FTP and NFS pages can only manage the server from which iManager is running.

Resolution
Novell is investigating expanding the capabilities of the FTP and NFS management interfaces, to include management of remote FTP and NFS servers.
Meanwhile, on a NetWare server where iManager is not installed, FTP Server can be managed manually by editing the FTPSERV.CFG and FTPREST.TXT files. NFS can be managed manually by editing the NFSSTART.NCF, NFS.CFG, NIS.CFG, and EXPORTS files. All these files can be found in SYS:ETC except for NFSSTART.NCF which is in SYS:SYSTEM. The files contain comments describing the potential settings and examples of the syntax.
