Environment
Novell Access Manager 3.1 Linux Access Gateway
Situation
Linux Access Gateway configured to accelerate multiple back end web applications. Some of these applications are sensitive in nature and require small session timeouts; others are less sensitive and have larger session timeouts. Access Manager currently allows administrators to set a global timeout, that applies to all sessions against the Identity (IDP) server or Linux Access Gateway (LAG). Is is possible to configure more specific timeouts eg. at the protected resource level, or per contracts? This was an option with iChain.
Resolution
WIth Access Manager 3.1, there is no option - the global setting architecture is the only setting an administrator can change. With Access Manager 3.1 SP2, the ability to set timeouts on a per protected resource basis will be available.
