NetWare NFS (XNFS.NLM) is not allowing a non-root user to move (mv) a file into another directory if that destination directory is not owned by the user. The error "permission denied" will be returned. This is the case even if permissions on the destination directory are 777.
There was a invalid permissions check being done prior to allowing the move operation to proceed. This has been corrected in a post-SP8 patch, known as xnfs8b.zip, and can be found at the following link:
If for some reason that link doesn't work, try searching at https://download.novell.com/patch/finder . Select product "NetWare" and then search of the name of the download, xnfs8b.zip.
