Environment

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 2 - 10.2 Bundles
Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 10.3 Bundles
Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11 Bundles
Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.1 Bundles
Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2 Bundles

Situation

xcopy fails to correctly process subdirectories when launched from a ZCM script

Subdirectories are not created for the destination, even if the"/i" parameter is used.

Resolution

This is fixed in version 11.2 - see KB 7010044 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support - Note that this was found to be a defect with the XCOPY command, and after Microsoft involvement, this issue is fixed in 11.2 for scripts that are stored in ZCM ("Define your own script"), but may still fail with "Specify a file on managed device" or "Select from this device".

Additional Information

xcopy functions correctly when launched as an executable.
