Mail Merge - GroupWise client fails to add subject

Situation

Mail Merge - GroupWise client fails to add subject
Subject line isn't added from the first line of email
GroupWise client fails to add subject line during Mail Merge

Additional Information

The issue is seen in GroupWise 7.0.3 client including HP3.The issue is seen using mail merge in MSOffice 2003 and MSOffice 2007. Before you start Mail merge login into GroupWise client and then follow the steps to duplicate.
 
Steps To Duplicate:
  1. Start a new word document and click on mailings
  2. Type Mail Merge on the first line for testing purpose and hit enter
  3. Start step by step mail merge wizard
  4. Select emails and click next: starting document
  5. Select Use current document and click next: select recipients
  6. Select Type a new list and click create
  7. Add a few entry with name and email address and save the contact list.
  8. Click Next:Write your e-mail message. Since we are testing if the subject line gets populated from the first line of
    the mail merge email we dont need to go into much details  address book, greetings etc.
  9. Click Next:Preview your e-mail message
  10. Click Next: Complete the merge
  11. Click Electronic Mail.
  12. Specify To: Email Address and Mail Format: Plain Text. Leave the Subject field blank. Select All in send records and click OK
The message has been sent and without a subject even though the first line of the email was mentioned as Mail Merge.
