Situation

NDPSGW.NLM shipped with SP8 and SP8a prints the following message to the server console every 60 seconds when a HOSTNAME value in the Gateway Load String cannot be resolved:

Printer Agent: 'XXXXXXX', could not resolve host name 'XXXXXXX.company.com'

Note: replace XXXXXX with printer agent name.

Resolution

Apply NDPSGW.NLM dated 02MAR2010 or later. This update can be obtained from:

Additional Information

The iprntnw65sp8b-2 patch advertizes that this problem is resolved in the 24JUN2009 release of NDPSGW.NLM. That release of NDPSGW.NLM will prevent the message from displaying every 60 seconds, but will not prevent the following message from displaying at Printer Agent load time.

No Priner Address Resolved for 'XXXXXXXX'

The fix mentioned above will prevent any printer agent DNS resolve messages from displaying on the server console.
