Situation

Error -6068 in report synchronization.

Resolution

The corruption of the Forward Log can be of 3 stages:


If the corruption is a minor one:
  • dsrepair -a | Unattended full repair
  • dsrepair -a | advanced options | repair local database
If this does not resolve the corruption then we have Stage 2 corruption:

At this stage, remove the server from the replica ring and then try to remove all the replicas from the server using the below mentioned commands:

  • dsreapir -XK2 for Netware
  • ndsrepair -R -Ad -XK2 for Linux
If one is unable to remove the replicas from the server, then the server with the corrupt database needs to be removed from the tree and added back:
