Situation
A restore needed to be done on a clean installed 3.1 SP1 system.
The restore failed with the following error:
101002009 Failed to reconfigure VCDN user objects.

Resolution
In this case the hostname used on the Admin Console server was different then the one that was used on the system at the time the backup was taken.
Make sure to use the same hostname you did use on the old server.
In case of a different name on the newly installed system you will run into the issue.
Changing the hostname to the one of the old system did resolve the issue.
