Situation

ERROR: "The specified network name is no longer available" while mapping a NSS Volume on an OES2 Server using Novell Client

Resolution

  1. Login to the server as root.
  2. Type "ncpcon set FIRST_WATCHDOG_PACKET=0 " at server console.
    OR
    Edit /etc/opt/novell/ncpserv.conf file and type ""FIRST_WATCHDOG_PACKET 0 " at the end of the file and save the file".
  3. Type "rcndsd restart " to restart eDirectory Service.
